“Songs of passion” Henry Purcell and John Dowland

With the divine Lea Desandre, the Ensemble Jupiter, founded and directed by Thomas Dunford, brings together two of England’s greatest musical geniuses: John Dowland and Henry Purcell, in a program exploring a panoply of emotions: love, anger, fear, joy, abandonment, devotion. In each of these works, we recognize the life and emotional involvement of these two geniuses, who still touch us today. by the light of candlelight, under the centuries-old vaults of Notre-Dame d’Auvers-sur-Oise, “Songs of passion” will take the audience until the end of the night.
