The artist's life
This is the story of a violin, an accordion and a cello meeting on the benches of the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris. “Beethoven, Pärt, Vivaldi, Prokofiev — mixing strings with an accordion? That takes nerve!”
Awards
One Prize of Honour and Audience Prize at the Léopold Bellan international competition later: the idea was adopted!
Link with the Festival
For these three multi-award-winning young artists are anything but conventional. Lisa Strauss, Théo Ould and François Pineau-Benois tune their differences to every style, from baroque to contemporary. Régis Campo and Tomas Gubitsch entrust them with their new works; the film-makers Yvan Schreck and Romain Winkler join forces with their talents. Their musical friendship modernises the repertoire, blends genres and galvanises audiences, revealing a young generation of creators. Their first album “Madness”, produced by DiscAuverS — the “discovery mission” label of the Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise — leaves no doubt: they have the Follia at their fingertips.
