In quasi-residence since his first appearance at Opus 41 with the Jeune Chœur d’Ile-de-France or the Ensemble Bergamasque, Pierre-Louis de Laporte leads a career as guest conductor with prestigious groups, including the Chœur de Radio France, the NFM Chór de Wroclaw and the Choeur de l’Orchestre de Paris. Collaborating with conductors such as Marin Alsop, Christoph Eschenbach and Kirill Petrenko, at the Philharmonie de Paris and the Berlin Philharmonie, Pierre-Louis is passionate about a cappella choral sounds and is developing personal research around the placement of singers and its effects on choral sound, the theme of his current thesis.
