Lunchtime at the Château d’Auvers — Saxback

Free admission

A unique sextet of its kind, Saxback is a cocktail of wind instruments (almost) all born from the inventive genius of Adolphe Sax – Saxophones, saxhorn and clarinets. This atypical ensemble of woodwinds and brass performs transcriptions of Bach, Prokofiev, Debussy and Bernstein as well as custom-composed works, calling on today’s composers. Graduates of the Conservatories of Paris, Lyon and Amsterdam, the six musicians of Saxback are united by a great complicity and a pleasure of playing which make their concerts a fireworks display of musicality, energy and emotion.
