The church of Notre-Dame d'Auvers-sur-Oise illuminated on a Festival evening

The purpose of the Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise Association is to run the Festival d’Auvers-sur-Oise, to promote the arts by creating artistic events, to showcase the church of Notre-Dame d’Auvers-sur-Oise and its heritage, and to contribute to the development of cultural and artistic projects around the Bernard Hurvy organ. In 2006 the Festival achieved its first goal: the building of a 30-stop organ in the post-classical style in the church of Notre-Dame d’Auvers-sur-Oise. That organ gave rise to other major projects for young people, such as the discovery and training workshop “L’Orgue Aux Enfants”, the commissioning of works from composers and the production of concerts as part of the Opus seasons.
